Soffit Services

What is Soffit?

Soffit is the flat area that covers the underside of the roof’s overhang. It plays a major role in the roofing and gutter system of your home. Typically, a vented soffit is required to allow ventilation in the attic, which reduces condensation buildup. The air circulation maintains the temperature and regulates excess moisture to prevent the rotting and decay of the house. In the winter, water freezes and builds up under the bottom side of the roof sheathing and melts, which causes leaks and rotting – both leading to structural issues.

Types of Soffit

Muskoka Gutters offers the following soffit services:

  • Aluminum: This type of soffits is highly malleable and requires less maintenance to fit oddly shaped spaces. We have multiple colour options available for this material to customize the roofing and exterior look of your property as per your needs.
  • Faux Wood: Give a royal and luxurious appeal to your home with low maintenance, rot-free and environmentally-friendly faux wood soffit and fascia. You can rest assured after installing this material as it won’t rot, warp, peel, or fade over time and is also resistant to insects.

Soffit – Appropriate Ventilation

Eliminate the tiresome painting and maintenance of your home with our soffits.

Our soffits are not just maintenance-free, durable, and good-looking, they keep your home protected. Year after year, you will appreciate the time, efforts and expenses you save with a finish that resists blistering, flaking and peeling.

Combined to the fascia, our soffits provide excellent airflow while keeping out insects and rodents.

Our soffits and all accessories we use are installed using durable screws, instead of the traditional staples and aluminum nails that many contractors use. We do this to avoid  unnecessary issues that bad weather may cause.
